Mile2® administers its certification exams through the MACS (Mile2® Assessment and Certification System) system via Mile2.com. Mile2® also provides Information Assurance services that meet military, government, private sector and institutional specifications. Mile2 certification courses teach the fundamental and advance principles of cyber security and follows a course/certification track that leads to advanced hands on skills training for penetration testing, Disaster Recovery, Incident handling and Network Forensics.

• C)ISSO (Certified Information Systems Security Officer for the Canadian Department of National Defense;
• C)PTE (Certified Penetration Testing Engineer) – for the United States Air Force;

Mile2 courseware has been approved by the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) National Training Standards. The Information Assurance Courseware Evaluation (IACE) Program provides consistency in technology training and education for the information assurance industry. The NSA/CSS is home to America’s code makers and code breakers.

Why the name "Mile2®"?

Mile2®'s name was derived from a directive given by Jesus Christ: 'If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles."(Matthew 5:41) This command has been paraphrased in recent times as "going the extra mile". In a historical context, a Roman Legionnaire was permitted by law to command any citizen to carry a load for him for a distance of approximately one mile. However, the subject was not legally bound to carry it any further. At Mile2® we strive to exceed our students, clients and partners' expectations in everything that we do.

Meet our CEO & President

Raymond Friedman is the CEO and President of Mile2® and has been in the IT Security Space since 2002. While in this industry, he has been actively engaged in consulting  for global financial and government institutions; performing security audits, penetration tests and digital forensics services. During his tenure at Mile2®, Raymond has spearheaded the development of the present series of Mile2® certifications which have become globally recognized. Presently, Raymond carries several certifications and advanced degrees such as the Master of Science in Accounting – Forensics & Controllership, the Certified Information Systems Security Officer, Certified Penetration Testing Engineer and Certified Digital Forensics Examiner.
