Advanced Computer Forensics Examiner Training (ACFE)

Instructor-Led Course 4 days
Outline Updated March 20 2003

Now available to government and private sector clients is a highly cost effective approach to upgrading the technical skills of their investigative, intelligence and support personnel. Our lead instructor and Computer Forensics course developer was a pioneer in federal law enforcement computer forensics and Internet crime investigations with over a quarter century of federal law enforcement experience, culminating in the development and management of a national agency computer forensics program. The instructor brings an insightful approach second to none.

This advanced course builds on the CFE basic class and employs Linux to more safely and effectively analyze Windows systems, including Windows 9.x, ME, XP and 2000 Professional.

Prerequisites: As in the Basic Course, the Advanced Course is unusually fast paced, covering more than some courses lasting twice as long. The course presumes that students have mastered basic computer forensic concepts and skills. While students need not have had prior experience using Linux, a working knowledge is recommended; if you can get by the title, the "Linux for Dummies" text is particularly well suited for non-Linux users.
