The Michigan Cyber Range (MCR) is a public-private partnership that includes the State of Michigan, federal agencies, private industry, and Merit Network, Inc. (a Michigan not-for-profit research and education network).
The MCR is an immersive, experiential cyber security educational environment that encompasses a physical and virtual infrastructure overlaid on Merit’s network. Merit will own, operate, and administer the MCR as well as run the program. The program will include individual and collective training classes, the facilitation of the use of the range by organizations, workshops, meetings, conferences and a community of practice to share best practices in both cyber security and cyber security training.
