The challenge given in this passage, I feel, can often be overlooked. Life can sometimes consume us and make us feel so busy that we don’t have time for God in our lives for the time being. With my own experiences, I found that the joy I find in growing closer to God is greater than any stress the outside world can give me. Sometimes being consumed by the world makes us forget about the sacrifices that were made for us. Obviously, none of us are perfect, but there still can be accountability when it comes to our sin. Holding yourself accountable in your pursuit of your relationship with the Lord can help ease some of the stress and battles we may face in our busy lives. I know for me personally, having a relationship with God allows me to talk to him freely whenever I want, no matter how busy I am, and having someone I can talk to at any given moment and knowing they will listen is all I need to handle whatever I may be facing. I always try to remember that he sacrificed his life for me, so I don’t have to be perfect, and if he can make that sacrifice for me, then he deserves my time and effort no matter the circumstances.
