Lab 4 – Detecting Live Systems

a. Enter the virtual machine IP address for your Windows Server 2016 in the target: text
field. You are performing a network inventory for the virtual VM.
b. In the Profile: text field, select, from the drop-down list, the type of profile you want to
scan. In this lab, select Intense Scan.
i. Click Scan to start scanning the virtual machine.

c. Nmap scans the provided IP address with Intense scan and displays the scan result
below the Nmap Output tab.
