January 2026 Launch – Certified Instructor Policies and Procedures

Instructor Certification Process

1) Instructors or Mile2 ATC can purchase the Train the Trainer (TTT) for instructors.

2) The instructor must score 80% on the standard Mile2 certification title exam they wish to teach.

3) Instructors must present one recorded instructional module for the course title and, if relevant, a recorded lab session for technical courses. This recording must be uploaded to their Mile2 instructor portal.

4) The instructor must agree to a brief Instructor “Code of Ethics” questionaire to receive the Mile2 instructor slides and resources.

5) The Certified Instructor status is valid for one year from the date the certification is passed with an 80% score and the Code of Ethics is agreed to.

Instructor Recertification Process

1) Instructors must submit and maintain the required 20 CEUs annually to be eligible to take their annual instructor renewal certification exam. The instructor renewal purchase is available in the instructor’s user account. (This is different from renewing your title course certification, which is every 3 years. Instructors must maintain both certifications to remain a valid Mile2 instructor).

2) Instructors must annually renew their instructor title certification to maintain a valid Mile2 Certified Instructor status and to continue accessing their specific instructor slides and resources.

* Mile2 Certified Instructors must maintain a sponsorship from an official Mile2 ATC Partner to have continued access to the Instructor Resources content.
