There are a lot of options in regards to data storage that a person a can use. You have things like RAM which is fast but only temporary and the data is lost when the computer is shut down. This type of data storage is called primary storage . There is also secondary storage and this contains things like HDD and SSD, these are used to store larger files and or applications/software, but SSDs are the faster and more expensive option. Cloud storage allows the user to upload a file to a server and allows them to access it from any device. This can used in places like schools, offices and other jobs. There is also external types of data storage. This would include things like USBs and external hard drives which allow you to keep back ups, file transfers, or just additional storage. USBs are also portable and can a connect to all computers via the corresponding ports.
