The motherboard is the backbone of a computer, a key component that connects all other parts, allowing them to communicate and work together. It is a large circuit board that houses the CPU, memory, and connectors for other peripherals. The CPU, or Central Processing Unit, is often called the computer’s brain, performing calculations, and running programs. Together, they form the core of computer operations, with the motherboard providing the necessary pathways for data and the CPU executing instructions to carry out tasks. The motherboard and CPU rely on each other to function effectively. The motherboard ensures power is distributed properly, expansion cards are connected, and accessible to BIOS. At the same time, the CPU carries out the commands that make your computer do everything from browsing the internet to playing games without the motherboard’s infrastructure, the CPU would have no way to interact with other components, and without the CPU’s processing power, the motherboard would be lifeless.
