Tampa, FL — Mile2 today announced its official transition from Mile2 Cybersecurity Certifications to Mile2 Cybersecurity Institute, reflecting the organization’s evolution into a comprehensive academic institution focused on advancing cybersecurity research, education, and applied governance.
“For many years, the Mile2 name accurately represented our role as a certification and training provider,” said Dr. Raymond Friedman, President of Mile2. “Today, our work extends far beyond certifications. We now operate as an institution that develops original models, assessment tools, and research-based guidance that shape how organizations manage cyber risk and resilience.”
As the Mile2 Cybersecurity Institute, the organization’s scope now includes:
• Development of original theoretical and operational frameworks, including the Adaptive Cyber Resiliency Policy Model (ACRPM)
• Creation of statistical and behavioral assessment instruments, such as the Behavioral Compliance Aptitude Assessment (BCAA)
• Publication of research-driven articles, executive briefings, and practitioner guidance addressing AI, cloud security, and emerging threats
• Release of authoritative publications, including AI Security Jailbreak Prevention and the Annual Top-10 Cyberthreats Report
• Continued delivery of globally recognized cybersecurity education and professional development
The transition to “Institute” reflects Mile2’s commitment to advancing cybersecurity as a discipline—bridging academic theory, applied research, and real-world operational practice.
