There happens to be two different disk drive states in an operating system and other applications: Hard disk drive (HDD) and the solid-state drive (SDD). HDD are physical drives which with the read/write heads will, as in its title, read data and write data to store it on the OS system. SSD are memory drives where there is no physical part to read data, but essentially memorize on a device almost like a SD card-chip. One other drive is a hybrid drive where it has the combination of a magnetic hard drive while also having the flash memory of a solid-state drive with it. Benefits of this drive include a faster boot and app speed and also much bigger storage on the computer.
