KeymasterMATTHEW 17 – HEAR HIM
“While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.” Matthew 17:6
With the ever-growing presence of internet media, we have many voices that contend for our attention. These voices passionately focus on politics, academics, scandalous events, as well as social-economical problems.
These voices tend to shape our opinions, the way we think, and the people we often become. Although there is temporary value to stay abreast of current events, there is eternal value to listen to the voice that said,
“This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear him.”
CHALLENGE
My friend, God is speaking: do you hear His voice? If not, perhaps His voice has been drowned out by the many voices you may be exposing yourself to; social platforms, news media, and online entertainment channels.
God has a message for you. “This is my beloved Son, hear Him”. Are you ready to hear Him? God is speaking, “hear Him.”

ParticipantIn today’s world, we are indeed surrounded by so many voices—on social media, the news, and entertainment. It is easy to get caught up in all the noise and lose focus on what really matters. The verse from Matthew 17 is a clear and loving message from God telling us to listen to His Son, Jesus. That means putting aside the distractions and spending time in prayer, reading the Bible, and opening our hearts to what God wants to say.
I really appreciate how you pointed out that while it’s okay to stay informed about what is happening in the world, it is even more important to focus on what has eternal value. God’s voice brings peace, truth, and direction. The world can be confusing, but Jesus brings clarity and hope. Your message challenged me to think more about what I am listening to every day. Am I hearing Him above all the other voices? Thank you for encouraging us to listen.

ParticipantWith all the media and social media that is in the world today. It makes it easy to stray away from our lord and savior. I have seen may people doubt what is in our paths that God has set for us by following others and not following our belief and heart and knowledge. To keep believing the word of God we need to remind ourself who our creature is and what paths he has for us. To pray and spread his word and wisdom. To limit our time on voices from the media and know that he shall be the one to judge us in the end of every decision we have made through out our life time.

ParticipantAs I reflect on the words, “This is my beloved Son… hear Him,” I’m confronted with a humbling truth: I’ve let the noise of this world drown out the voice of Christ in my life. The constant stream of information, opinions, and distractions from media and technology has dulled my sensitivity to God’s whisper.
I’m aware that God is speaking, but too often I’m not listening. Not because He is not speaking, but because I have not created space to actually hear from Him.
In response, I’m choosing to intentionally quiet the other voices. That might mean stepping back from social media, reducing screen time, or reordering my morning routine to begin with God’s Word instead of the day’s headlines.
I don’t just need to be told things by the world—I must be changed by Jesus’ voice. His voice brings life, direction, and peace, while the world’s voices have a tendency to bring confusion, fear, and worry.
