Hi everyone!  Welcome to Week 3! I hope you had a great Easter!  He is Risen!  He is Risen, Indeed!

In week 2, you studied lessons 4-5.  Each week you have a devotion, discussions, videos to watch, chapters to read, and quizzes to take.  Keep learning!

In week 3, you need to study chapters 6-7.  You should complete the devotion, discussions, and end-of-chapter quizzes.  Be sure to read and watch the videos.

Most importantly, pray before, during, and after you do your work.  Take Jesus with you everywhere!  ~Dr. Anthony

I love this devotion by Billy Graham—

So he went and did according unto the word of the Lord . . .
    —1 Kings 17:5
As messengers of God, we will often lead lonely lives. “All men forsook me,” said Paul. It is a price we have to pay; there is a loneliness in the Gospel. Yet you will not be alone, because you will be ministered to by the Spirit of God, as Elijah was ministered to at the brook Cherith. A true messenger lives a burdened life. If he is the Lord’s vessel, he carries in his heart a burden for souls none can share but those who know it firsthand.

This week, you need to read chapters 3 and 4 and watch the videos.  Be sure to complete the week 2 devotional and discussion questions.  **You don’t have to upload a word document for the devotions or the discussions.**

Finally, be sure to complete the chapters 3 and 4 exams.

Below is a great devotion from Billy Graham’s Daily Devotions. Have a great week!  ~Dr. Anthony

He who hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
    —Philippians 1:6
Being a Christian is more than just an instantaneous conversion. It is a daily process whereby you grow to be more and more like Christ. When you start out, you start out as a baby. You must be fed on the simple things of the Bible, and you learn to walk in your Christian life gradually. At first you will fall down and make many mistakes, but you are to continue growing. However, there are many people who have stopped growing. They remain spiritual babes all their lives. I am afraid that this experience is all too common today. Perhaps it is yours.

Do you remember the day when you gave your heart and life to Christ? You were sure of victory. How easy it seemed to be more than conqueror through Christ who loved you. Thousands of Christians have struggles with themselves. The great need in Christendom today is for Christians to learn the secret of daily victory over sin.

Hi everyone!  Welcome to Week 2!

In week 1, you studied chapters 1 – 3.  You’ve probably noticed that each week, you will have a devotion, discussions, videos to watch, chapters to read, and quizzes/exams to take.  There is so much to learn in such a short time!

In week 2, you need to study chapters 4 – 5.  You should complete the devotion, discussions, and end-of-chapter exams.  Be sure to read and watch the videos.

Most importantly, pray before, during, and after you do your work.  Take Jesus with you everywhere!

I like to post devotions from Billy Graham!  Here is one that I love! ~Dr. Anthony

There is also comfort in mourning, because in the midst of mourning God gives a song. His presence in our lives changes our mourning into song, and that song is a song of comfort. This kind of comfort is the kind which enabled a devout Englishman to look at a deep dark hole in the ground where his home stood before the bombing and say, “I always did want a basement. Now I can jolly well build another house, like I always wanted.” This kind of comfort is the kind which enabled a young minister’s wife in a church near us to teach her Sunday school class of girls on the very day of her husband’s funeral. Her mourning was not the kind which had no hope—it was a mourning of faith in the goodness and wisdom of God; it believed that our heavenly Father makes no mistakes.

I can’t believe we are in Week Five!!

Below is a devotion from Billy Graham’s Devotions and what you have to do this week!

The last day of class and the last day any work is accepted is December 16.

    Merry Christmas!!

    Devotion:

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God . . .
    —Luke 2:13
When at this season of the year we wish our friends a “Merry Christmas,” it is essential to realize that true merriment of heart is contingent upon the recognition of the truth that Christ was born in Bethlehem for our salvation. The word “merry” is from an old Anglo-Saxon word which sometimes meant “famous,” “illustrious,” “great,” or “mighty.” Originally, to be merry did not imply to be merely mirthful, but strong and gallant. It was in this sense that gallant soldiers were called “merry men.” Favorable weather was called “merry weather.” Brisk winds were called a “merry gale.” Spenser speaks of London as “merry London.” The word “merry” carries with it the double thought of “might” and “mirth,” and is used both ways in Scripture. One of the early Christmas carols was “God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen.” The Christian is to engage in spiritual merriment as he thinks upon the fact that, through the redemption, he becomes a child of God’s family. The Bible teaches that the angels made merry at Christ’s birth.

    Latoya,
I agree with this. God has a plan and we have to listen to Him. He knows what He is doing. We have to always shine His light in everything we do, say, and type. Listening to Him is key!

We need to think of a way where we don’t have to change our passwords so often. Biometrics help with this.
