ParticipantI can’t believe we are in Week Five!!
Below is a devotion from Billy Graham’s Devotions and what you have to do this week!
The last day of class and the last day any work is accepted is December 16.
Merry Christmas!!
Devotion:
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God . . .
—Luke 2:13
When at this season of the year we wish our friends a “Merry Christmas,” it is essential to realize that true merriment of heart is contingent upon the recognition of the truth that Christ was born in Bethlehem for our salvation. The word “merry” is from an old Anglo-Saxon word which sometimes meant “famous,” “illustrious,” “great,” or “mighty.” Originally, to be merry did not imply to be merely mirthful, but strong and gallant. It was in this sense that gallant soldiers were called “merry men.” Favorable weather was called “merry weather.” Brisk winds were called a “merry gale.” Spenser speaks of London as “merry London.” The word “merry” carries with it the double thought of “might” and “mirth,” and is used both ways in Scripture. One of the early Christmas carols was “God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen.” The Christian is to engage in spiritual merriment as he thinks upon the fact that, through the redemption, he becomes a child of God’s family. The Bible teaches that the angels made merry at Christ’s birth.Preparation:

ParticipantWelcome to Week 4! Just 2 weeks left! This goes by fast!
Below is a great devotion from Billy Graham and then the list of what you need to do this week.
I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
—Psalm 34:4Man has always been beset by worry, and the pressures of modern life have aggravated the problem. To men of all time Jesus said, “Take therefore no thought for the morrow . . . but seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33-34). Many of you are filled with a thousand anxieties. Bring them to Jesus Christ by faith. He will bring peace to your soul and your mind.

ParticipantLatoya,
I agree with this. God has a plan and we have to listen to Him. He knows what He is doing. We have to always shine His light in everything we do, say, and type. Listening to Him is key!Kanthony

ParticipantWe need to think of a way where we don’t have to change our passwords so often. Biometrics help with this.

ParticipantI always think that there could be more than 10. Can you think of the 11th one that could be added to this?

ParticipantJason,
I love how you put that He did this to encourage us in our faith. He does that a lot. I’m so thankful for that. He knows what we need.Kanthony

I love that you believe. I believe, too. He had a plan for everything. He has a plan for us even when things are bad. We just have to have faith.

ParticipantExcellent examples, Joseph. I especially like the bank example. Policies are crucial to keep for IT. Sometimes, companies don’t think this is important until something goes wrong. Great points.
