    Thanks Professor,

I love learning how technology works and how it can improve or impact our lives. I am also amazed about humans of all ages can adapt. Or should I say, how they have adapted! The one element I pray that we never get away from is kindness and compassion to one another. I read so many cases of cyberbullying, but remember, there is reality bullying in the real world, too. There are false preachers in the digital realm, and in the real world. Regardless of the advances, the human discernment must never be taken for granted.

I love digital scriptures, and the idea of saving trees, but let’s save each other, and be willing to teach those that may not be tech savvy to avoid leaving anyone behind. As big of a tech nerd that I am, I still have a human heart full of love.

    God Bless,

    Kevin

    Hey Class,

I am sort of exhausted by this question. As I know that I have discussed this very question in at least 15 classes now. We all know that we had to utilize technology in order to attend church virtually, etc.

Let’s be real, pandemic or no pandemic. We are in this online class, virtually. My complete college experience was digital. Mile2, well, this is sadly not the college experience I hope for. I am using my student loans for a program I take at work. I was angry when I learned of Mile2’s partnership with OCU. I much prefer BrightSpace and the OCU program. To me this is way more aligned with the actual college experience.

None the less, the pandemic, yep. Older people learned to use things surrounding technology they wouldn’t have ever used. If that’s a win, great. The truth is, why did a pandemic need to occur to teach our loved ones the benefits of technology?

This is a devotional, so please keep me in prayer this week as this is a very sensitive topic for me personally.

    God Bless,

    Kevin

    Hey Kelly,

I loved your story. Thanks for the share. As a Collision Technologist, understanding how to save lives is a key objective of my job when designment, producing and repairing vehicles. I am thrilled that you and the wife were able to walk away. There are some crashes that I see the aftermath for, and I often look up to the Heavens and ask, “How was this even possible?”

    Hey Class,

I can certainly appreciate the fact that we should consider how to stay fresh within our faith. Seriously though, we know when to upgrade our phones, our vehicles, and our home decor. Yet, many of us, including myself, do not know when or how to update/upgrade our faith. This devotion has allowed for myself to think about ways to improve and strengthen my faith or my relationship with God.

I think a good way to do this may be to volunteer and serve the community at large in some capacity. This act will promote or spark a connection with the Lord and Savior. This is what I call a ‘aha’ moment. We need moments like this to realize the good. I do think we need to constantly stay Intune with the Lord and Savior.

    Thanks all I’ve gpt.

    God Bless,

    Kevin

    Kelly,

That is the key. Success comes from the culture of the business environment. I very similar as in hiring as well. I investigate character and attitude during our interviews. I even hired what society deems as criminals that are on work release. I would interview these work release candidates the same way. Once I am able to see the good, I am delighted to train and coach them everyway that I can on the job.

    Kelly,

I love that you considered your father. That is both awesome and sweet. You are very blesses to have a father like that. Your father is blessed to have a son that realizes the gifts of his father.

    Great stuff!

    Hey Class,

Well, I am super-duper guilty of this one, as this week’s devotional asked us to describe a time that we have put other things before our faith. I have put work and school so many times above all things. I clearly honor and serve God. I attend a Christian University, but I so often put all that I am in my work and into my studies. I find myself studying way more than praying or reading the Bible. I find myself meeting work deadlines and measuring KPIs / SLAs more often than I am devoting time to God. I admit it, I need to do better. I will be done in two more weeks, so maybe can at least remove school as a blocker. I understand and realize that I must do better, but I cannot slack in my studies, and I must remain focused. I do ask the Lord to guide me and be with me during my studies. I also pray for God’s guidance on the job and within my leadership. I am very grateful for the Lord, but I am very guilty of putting work and school before many things in my life, including the time I devote to the creator.

    God Bless,

    Kevin

    Hey Professor,

I absolutely love that! Communication is about being effective, not always hearing what one may desire to hear.

Awesome stuff and I completely respect that sort of approach.

    Best regards,

This week’s devotional certainly hits a funky spot for me. I have not seen God, hear God, nor do I honestly know with 100% certainty that He hears me. Seriously though, with billions of people on this planet, why should God hear me. I think to think He hears me is a bit selfish. I am alive, healthy, and I am blessed. I have a good attitude for the most part, I understand the value of life, and I love my family. Without seeing, or hearing God, I know these things just didn’t happen, just because. The design for life is very deliberate, I know this work could be done by an Almighty God. His works and His creations, still to this day despite all of the world’s advancements and technology, cannot be fully explained through science. I don’t need anything else to understand His greatness.

My humanness at times does feel challenged and frustrated. I do run into the hard ‘why’ questions from my emotions in particular moments, but still, I know He is there. I get goose bumps listening to music. I cry during movies. I work hard for things that matter. I laugh when I am happy. These gifts, these remarkable sensations come from God.

    That’s all I’ve got.

    God Bless,

    Kevin

We have been asked to discuss what we sincerely appreciate about someone in our lives that has been honest to us. I have decided to discuss own of my first bosses, George Nebe. He was brutally honest. At times I thought he was a bit harsh and abrasive. Now that I am older, I realize he was extremely fair. He did not sugar coat anything and made it clear that you knew where he stood.

What set him apart from others was clear. As he was load, direct, and extremely blunt. I feel that his directness at times was very intimidating at times. Again, now that I am older, I can really see his value in just being himself.

    Hey Kelly,

I loved your article and share regarding T-Mobile. I did not know this and I am a T_Mobile customer. I completely agree with your thoughts and the realness of this type of cybercrimal activity. Smartphones are used by all ages. This hits home for me as my youngest child wants a phone and he needs to be able to detect this sort of activity. I chuckle because he cannot even make his bed correctly yet. This makes me wonder, “What’s ahead of us?”

    Hey Marcena,

Thanks for responding and being on the same page with me on this week’s discussion surrounding Disaster Planning. Timeliness to me is key. If we can not safely remove our teams from danger quickly and efficiently, the entire evacuation process will be worthless.

Practice makes perfect, so training is a must to obtain proficiency in timeliness. I really do feel that drills need to be run over and over to perfect the process accordingly.

I hope you are having a great week.

    Hey Class,

I am responsible so setting up NSOs or new locations/collision centers for a leading EV company. The fire marshalls and inspectors in every city, town, county, and state are all different. The truth is, we secure our buildings and our teammates because it is the right thing to do. Not because someone tells us to do so.

We have evacuation plans and thermal blanket training monthly in the event of a fire. Lithium batteries are very dangerous and create explosive heat if not contained or controlled. We have well laid out plans and we constantly preform risk assessments to ensure we are doing the best and most effective action plans.

    God Bless,

    Keivn
