You have a very good understanding of the procedures and processes to keep a business safe and running if they plan to use technology. It is amazing to see what can be done to maintain our computers, so they last longer than their intended lifespan

I would be surprised if in the year, maybe 3, if they happen to improve on those Wi-Fi and encryption standards. It be good for certain PC users if they happen to develop a new wifi or just maybe fix the mistakes found from the recent standard.

After doing some research, there a lot of standards out there: 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11n, 802.11g, and more, but those were the commonly used (Jacob went into some detail). Simply put, every 802.11 after the original are all building off the 802.11 foundation. The developers added more to the original, with more benefits but also some setbacks. They improved by fixing those mistakes, which came out to other such 802.11 so on and so forth. We learned from Operating Systems Technician that the common encryption standards are WEP, WPS, and WPA 1 and 2. WEP was the first Wifi encryption created and used so the developers needed to fix those mistakes, making what’s known as WPA and WPS.

Two operational procedures in an organization or business are safety and the environment. We know when it comes to a workplace that safety is a must. Your co-workers’ safety is a huge priority. The air vents, ducts, and also the cooling equipment are critically important to check up on weekly, or if you’re really cautious daily. There are settings in each computer that allows us to check on the temperature of our parts in our pc, like the GPU settings, which should sit around a decent 70-80 degrees. Your CPU can sit around an ideally 75 without overheating while the graphics card can sit around 80-85 before overheating or overcooling. These temps are important to remember when actively using a PC. The environment is also important as organizations need to keep the place safe and functional. Any pc is fragile and anything that collides with it can cause damage. Wear protective gear when working with electrical equipment to keep yourself safe and keep the pc safe from harm. Any water or other fluids that come in contact with these devices can harm the ports and parts inside and outside the computer, causing malfunctions and physical damage.

This conversation and discussion are critically important to us. We can declare openheartedly that we are Christians and yet our hearts are not in him and secured in his Word. I struggle with this daily. Throughout this summer, this is something I am wanting to change in me and not just proclaim it but show it and act it out daily with my words and how I act around my peers. With a new job I am hoping to grab, I want to act differently around my co-workers.

I found out yesterday that my sister is uncertain in her faith. She has been battling with this for years and decided to finally have this come to light. It is very heartbreaking of this news. But I totally respect her decision. I pray that God moves through her like He does for everyone else. I know she is lost and has not had that revelation like my parents have had or even I have seen.

Your process explanation is on-point. I love just how thorough you are with your explanation and what we can do in each step to ensure our devices work smoothly.

If such an issue, like lack of printer ink or connectivity issues, we do want to make sure the printer is on (for internet connection) and make sure the right internet connection is available, or if there is needing ink, our printer must be off, so we are cautious. We don’t want to hurt ourselves in the process. As we are checking the ink, we need to take out the old cartridges first before inserting the new ones. Make sure there isn’t any dust or debris built up. When it comes to the internet issues, we want to make sure our connection is on and available to connect; some internets only allow a couple users so we want to ensure our printer can connect properly. If it means disconnecting a device that is unnecessary to have connected, we can simply disconnect.

I loved how you mention about the process of troubleshooting. This was well thought and I loved how you mention the problems that can occur daily.

When we troubleshoot mobile devices, the same is true for computers. They need to be turned off, with an additional having the battery out as well. With internet issues, we can definitely figure out configurations and internet settings. When issues arise, always make sure that updates are recent so that we can look to other factors that have caused issues. On our mobile devices, we should restart our phone in case of any accidents and find the issues.

This was very well thought out and interesting on which cables are beneficial to the user in any situation. We see big uses in how much multiple cables are used for our pc’s to run daily.

HDMI and the twisted pair ethernet cables are some of the fewest cable connectors used for computers. We know HDMI cables are used to project images and pixels from one source to the projector or monitor to the user. This is our form of output so we can see what we then input. I know my computer can run without an HDMI cable since it also runs what’s called a “D” cable because it’s another output source that runs images, just a bit slower than on a HDMI cable. The other is the ethernet cable that acts as an alternative internet in case the original source of internet seems to be slow or overused with other users on the same source.

It seems troubleshooting is a simple process but can be tricky depending on the situation. Certain files get corrupted, display devices are slow or just shut off at random times, or even the connection is slow. We should prepare for those moments.

Whenever I get the chance to look deep into my pc over the summer, I want to see how the output and input devices work. Like how each port and device work hand in hand

We can see issues with our display quite frequently. We talked about the software and hardware storage and how beneficial it can be to the user, depending on the data it is storing. Issues can be caused in those areas. First as always, the computer needs to be updated to make sure the functions are recent till we find other factors that cause problems. If the screen is black, windows key + ctl + shift + B. This shortcut is going to provide a way to restart our driver and refresh the connection from the pc to the display device (windows + p also works to as an alternative shortcut to the project display). We can also check to make sure the ports and cables are plugged in so they are not the cause of our problems.
